Lindt Excellence Sea Salt is a 70‑75% dark chocolate bar with flecks of natural sea salt crystals. A 20 g serving (3‑4 squares) provides 85‑110 kcal, only 4‑5 g sugar, and negligible sodium (15‑25 mg). The high flavanol content supports cardiovascular health by improving endothelial function and lowering blood pressure. The sea salt balances bitterness, making high‑cocoa chocolate more palatable, and may help patients with dysgeusia (metallic or bland tastes) during chemotherapy or renal disease. The sweet‑salty contrast also provides mood elevation and sensory pleasure useful in palliative care and geriatric settings.
